Privacy

In short: Nur Habits has no account, no ads, no analytics and no server of its own. Everything you log stays on your device.

Your entries

Prayers, habits, progress and settings are stored only locally on your device. We receive none of it. If you delete the app, the data is gone. Use “Export” in Settings to save or share it as a file yourself.

Location

If you allow it, the app uses your approximate location to calculate prayer times and the qibla direction on your device. To show the name of your town, iOS asks Apple's geocoding service (Apple's privacy policy applies). We never receive your location. Instead of your location you can also pick a city from the list.

Motion sensor

In focus mode the app uses the accelerometer to detect whether your phone is lying face down. The readings are only evaluated in the moment and never stored.

Notifications and alarm

Prayer reminders and the Fajr alarm are scheduled on your device (iOS notifications and AlarmKit). There are no push messages from a server.

No third parties

The app contains no ads, no tracking or analytics services and shares no data with third parties. Links to quran.com open in your browser, where their terms apply.

Since we store no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose or delete. Still, feel free to write to us with any question. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
